Old School?

A lot of experienced Adwords users I meet today tell me that they work most of the time on the Adwords Editor Tool to set up accounts and make modifications.

I somehow find this very difficult to do. I think I will always set up an account online and then just do major copy pasting with the editor.

The Editor has some cool tools built in
1) Keyword Grouper
2) Duplicate Keywords

It also has some great functionality
1) Copy Paste

Increasing search volume

So for the longest time people have wondered how Yahoo and MSN will ever catch up with Google when it comes to number of searches performed.

Most people believe it is not possible unless Google starts giving bad / irrelevant results. Basically if people don't find what they are looking for (fast enough) on Google, then they will start looking at other search engines.

Lots to debate about.

I am glad to see that atleast MSN (and Yahoo) are trying things and not just sitting around. I came across this game on msn.com called Seekadoo. Below is the screenshot.

The game integrates live search in it.

Chances are you won't know all the answers right? So guess what, you have help right there itself. Everything happens below the game - there is no other page that pops open, etc.

What if you are smart enough to get all the answers? Well everytime you get the right answer,

the search box gets automatically filled up with the answer you found. If you selected a wrong set of alphabets, that will get prefilled and search results will be shown.

This helps MSN show that live search actaully has relevant results which are fast too. It's pretty interesting (for me at least) because this market (PPC) is going to be about market share for a long time to come.
